• What to Wear: When your child comes to their first dance class, we only require that they wear clothing that will not restrict their movement.
    • 2 years old-6 years old: Any dance wear is appropriate for this age group. Most parents like to get their daughter a leotard with a skirt attached. Another good option is to wear a leotard with booty shorts over it.
    • 7 Years old- Older:
      • Ballet: For ballet, we require hair to be out of the face. Leotard and tights are required, as well as ballet shoes
      • Jazz, tap, and acrobatics: Dance clothing where the body is visible is required for all three areas of dance. Tons of cute tops, shorts, pants, and leotards are available on plenty of dance sites. Tap shoes and jazz shoes are also required.
      • Hip-hop: We like for the girls to choose clothes with attitude for hip-hop. Clothes for hip-hop can be looser, and tennis shoes or sneakers work the best.
  • Dance Shoes: You can either have your child fitted for dance shoes at the studio, and order them through us, or you can buy them yourself! Please keep in mind that dance shoe sizes run different than street shoes. Ask us if you have any questions about this.
  • What to Bring: Your child should come to dance class prepared. Most students have a dance bag packed with their dance shoes, dance clothes for different areas of dance, and snacks. We also have snacks and drinks available for purchase at the studio, but these are sometimes limited.
